He was born on July 15, 1901, to Helene (née Wahle) and Jakob (son of Dr. Wolgan and Ernestine, née Sobel).

He died of meningitis on the night of July 17-18, 1902.

Buried alongside him in grave 001-005-001 are his maternal grandfather Josef Wahle,
who died on December 3, 1890, and his grandmother Hermina, who died on November 21-22, 1917.

The Wahle couple have a larger gravestone at grave site 001-005-001. The broken plaque in front of it belongs to their grandson Karl.
Karl's sister Hilda Derblich, who died on July 22, 1911, at the age of six, is also buried at this grave site.

Karl's mother Helene died on November 10, 1924, at the age of 54, and is buried in plot 001-005-002.
Helene and Jakob also had a son, Wolfgang, who was born in 1894 and was Karl's older brother.
